New Hire Checklists

Complete the following before your first day on the job

ONBOARDING CHECKLIST: Complete the following 4 steps ASAP

Step 1: Fill out our New Employee/Contractor Info Form

Step 2: Download the SmartMoving App (Used for scheduling and dispatch)

Step 3: Download the Discord App (Used for company communication)

Step 4: After completing the first 3 steps call your Manly Moving Rep to make sure they get you added into the system and get you access to login to the company Discord and Smartmoving Apps. You can call or text us at 208-352-2252 or you can email us at hr@manlymoving.com and request access.

DAY 1 CHECKLIST: Complete the checklist on DAY 1 of your move

Step 1: Dress Appropriately

Hat & Hair: Have combed or kept hair, or you may wear a hat if it has no offensive pictures or writing on it.

Shirts & Jackets: You will be provided a moving shirt and possibly 2 shirts depending on your employment status. You may purchase additional shirts if you would like. Jackets need to be worn that are not too baggy and are movement friendly since you will be bending and lifting.

Pants & Shorts: Shorts or pants are allowed. Moving is an athletic job and so you should dress in clothes you can move and bend easily in. It is important to be presentable as you are the face of the company and so wearing clothes not dirty, or worn out is important for our image.

Shoes: You may wear work boots or athletic shoes with good grip. Traction going up and down the ramp is important when going up and down with heavy items.

Step 2: Arrive at the shop 30 minutes before the time specified to arrive so you can complete the hiring paperwork.

Step 3: Bring with you to the shop the following items

  • Water & bring a lunch if scheduled on a longer job.
  • Voided Check (If you don’t have one your bank can get you one)

Step 4: You will need to fill out the W-9 form and Wage Agreement form if you are a 1099 contractor or as an employee you will need to fill out a state and federal W2 form, I-9 Form, along with reading and signing our handbook and employee agreements.

Contractors

  • Provide Proof of Workman’s Comp if you are providing your own. If you need insurance you can purchase it through Next Insurance

Employees

  • FW4 Form >> Request a physical copy or look for the intuit workforce email from QuickBooks
  • Direct Deposit Authorization Form >> Click Here

DAY 1 DONE CHECKLIST: Complete the checklist after completing your first day on the job

Step 1: Email hr@manlymoving.com to request full access of the Discord app and to get your employee ID #.

Step 2: Look for an email from Intuit (Quickbooks) as you will be getting an email to set up a Intuit Workforce account where you can view paychecks and edit tax info. If you already have an account setup you should be able to log in and then edit that information once you have been added. It will say Manly Moving & not Smooth Movers.

Step 3: Complete the training material so you can be fully ready to go. A link to the training materials will soon be added.

Step 4: Notify HR by calling 208-656-2636 ext. 3007 or by sending us an email to hr@manlymoving.com when you have completed all the steps up to this point and get your onboarding raise for having completed all the above steps and having made our lives easier.
